Dirac Spectra in QCD

We disscuss the classification of the spectrum
of the Dirac operator for QCD and QCD like
theories both in two and in four dimensions.
We show that in both cases
the Dirac spectrum on the the scale the average
level spacing is universal and is
described by random matrix theory. This seems
to indicate that the Mermin-Wagner-Coleman
theorem is violated in two dimensions. A
possible resolution of this puzzle is discussed.
